Yesterday ,21st October, I attended a zambian function to celebrate the independence day. we paid 15 ponunds to see the Zambian artists who are apparently doing well in zed . we got to the function which was meant to start at 8-3am and guess what there was no artist and everyone looked so pensive. I knew from the faces ,there was trouble I almost thought of telling these guys to say these artists had falllen ill or something just to appear to be in control, on the other hand am asking myself why cant i just be this cool person doing my job and not involving my self in patriotic ventures, then of course my up bringing comes in play, almost miraculously i hear my dad saying you can never change who you are, thats crazy am thinking, but then the spirit in me really makes me feel sad for thiese guys who am supposed to persecute for luck of organisation skills in this time and age, because I actually feel they dont trust any of us to help them do a good job yet we persecute them to the letter. anyway it was the so called independece celebration and though not perceved as such even by the organisers we really are zambians at heart and are willing to help even though it may be spiritually for the coz. am sure the learning curve has its course and lessons are being learnt as we speak thank God am sure the manchester people dont read blogs but for my self the Venue was cool the arrangement pathetic so keep it up and please LEARN thats for the ZACOMA!!! zambian bla bla of manchester!!! |
